Three Partners. One Mission
The word “partnership” is used a lot in education, especially among private schools.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us that “a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” At Blue Ridge Christian School, we want to be clear about what we mean when we say “partnership.” Covenant schools, like BRCS, emphasize the “three-corded” strength of the partnership between the family, school, and church as they equip the next generation spiritually, educationally, and morally. Families considering BRCS should know how we work together toward common goals. That’s why we’ve created a Portrait of a Partnership.
Is BRCS the Right Fit?
Before we explore the attributes of a successful educational partnership, it’s important to acknowledge that, as much as we want every child to excel, our educational model is not the right fit for every family.
BRCS may not be the best fit for families who:
Families who aren’t fully aligned with our foundational documents.
Students who have a pattern of causing disruption in the learning environment at other schools.
Families who see the school primarily as a service provider rather than a partner in discipleship and learning.
Families who are unwilling to collaborate respectfully or receive feedback.
Our desire is not to exclude.
Our desire is to build a Christ-centered community where every family is positioned to thrive.

Academic Readiness
We commit to teaching a Biblical, accredited curriculum and providing outstanding, innovative educational programs that prepare our students for success in life. (Phil. 1:9-11; Rom. 12:1-6a).
Community Engagement
We commit to creating an environment of generosity and compassion that is responsive to the needs of those we serve. (1 Pet. 3:8; Rom. 14:1-7; 1 Cor. 12:12-27).

- Resolve concerns in ways that reflect Biblical principles with Matt. 18 as the guide
Grace-filled Collaboration
We commit to establishing and maintaining a positive climate at school, recognizing it is a two-way street. “Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous…” (1 Peter 3:8).
Financial Stewardship
We commit to furthering the impact of Christian education through partnering with the families investment in raising up a child in the way he should go (Prov. 22:6) and through practicing financial stewardship (Psalm 24:1, 2Cor. 9:6-7, I Tim. 6:17-19).
